Prof. Madya Dr. Mariatulqabtiah Binti Abdul Razak is currently the Deputy Dean (JIM & Development) at the Faculty of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences. She earned her PhD in Clinical Medicine Research from Imperial College London in 2011, following a first-class honors degree in Biotechnology from Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). With extensive experience in molecular biology and vaccine development, Dr. Mariatulqabtiah has led numerous research projects, particularly in avian virus diagnostics and vaccine innovations. Her accolades include the 2024 Young Woman Scientist Award and the L’Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award (2022).
